I think it’s about time someone from the Republican campaign just took the time to lay it all out there. Just tell the people what is up with what Republicans believe. I’m not Karl Rove or anything, but I think it ought to come from Mitt Romney himself and P.D.Q. Here’s what I would say if I were him.
Hello, my name is Mitt, and I’m a rich man. I’m standing before you and I admit it. Yes, my name is Mitt and I AM a rich man. I’ll own it.
There is certainly a lot of discussion out there about being rich or poor. That people who are rich will always be rich and that poor people will always be poor. Rich people do nothing for anybody but themselves and poor people can do nothing for themselves. Is that how you see it? Funny, I always thought America was about poor people who thought they could be rich if they really wanted to be and then did. America is where we break through those glass ceilings and say nothing is always the way it is.
Let me tell you about two sons I know. They both worked for Dell Computers way back before Dell was DELL. One man’s father was a middle to upper income earner, a CFO, while the other’s father came from Mexico as a migrant worker picking watermelons. One day these sons tell their fathers to invest in Dell because they see customized computers as the future. So the dads do this, each father taking what they think they can spend on the investment. Now you might imagine the migrant worker invested less than the wealthier CFO, but we’ll never know for sure. He was unable to speak much English and had no idea what a Dell computer was until his son started working there. Some years later, the CFO father grew “un-enchanted” with the computer company and decided to cash out of his slow if not motionless investment. The migrant worker dad on the other hand, out of love and respect for his son, faithfully kept what little money he had in Dell despite his poor means. He just worked harder to make ends meet. A couple years later, Dell Computers turned the whole technology market on its head. Stock price for this company skyrocketed and then split… then split again. The migrant watermelon picker was now a multi-millionaire and the CFO dad was just as moderately wealthy as he always was. In America, both had equal opportunity to be extremely wealthy despite their backgrounds. There was no insider trading- just faith in a good business.
In America, poor people can become rich people and rich people can become poor people. There is no guarantee; there is only the right of pursuit. Now if you take the right of pursuit away, by telling people there is no chance so why pursuit…all you do is guarantee that most people will try less to succeed and try less to pursuit great things. I pursued great things, became rich and now that allows me to help you, uninhibited by my background. I heard a citizen say the other day, to a reporter, “Well Mitt is rich. Why would he want to bother with such a hard job as the President?” And the answer to that is because I can. And I can do this without having to be tempted by corruption. No one could ever pay me enough to do harm to my country. There isn’t one thing I need or want in my life more than the opportunity to save this country from ruin.
There are people in charge right now that clearly have no idea what they are doing. The polls show we agree we are not heading in the right direction. I understand the Obama Administration’s pride and why they are so frustrated by this failure. They had a revolutionary plan. Unfortunately, it’s not a working plan. It never was. It has failed because they don’t want to admit when they are wrong and they don’t want help. Have you ever seen this show called Kitchen Nightmare’s with a chef by the name of Gordon Ramsey? This guy comes in and tells the restaurant owners either that their kitchen is filthy, they are spending too much money, or too little money on good produce, their behavior towards their employees and customers need to change, the food sucks or all of the above. In each case the restaurant is going bankrupt, the owners are in debt up to their ears, they’re about to lose their home because that’s tied to the restaurant too, but still… because they had such great plans for the restaurant and it was their “dream” they don’t want to listen. They get angry. They get violent. They literally hate this guy Ramsey because they think he’s all high and mighty. They think he couldn’t possibly understand where they are coming from, the whole bit. He comes in, gives them all these alternative options. He makes changes to the menu and the decor. Overnight he makes real physical changes and helps change their attitudes whether they will admit it will work or not and then faithfully waits to see what happens. Suddenly everyone likes the food and surprise, the business grows. The families end up naming their children after Gordon and all live happily ever after. Now Gordon Ramsey isn’t an American citizen, so he can’t be nominated for President, so don’t even try it! Now here’s the thing. He goes back six months later to check on them and those owners who decided to be stubborn and go back to their old way and not listen to the expert went under. Those who refused to try and trust someone they thought was “out of touch” with them, lost out big time. Never to be recovered.
I don’t want that to be America. I am rich because I’m good at business and we need to change the way we do business in America. Forgive me for saying this but the majority of America’s problems right now are about money. We need the poor and the rich working together in America like we used to. Now those who have the money are literally unable to use it. People cannot get the loans they need. Workers cannot get paid. The way America used to do business is no longer possible because of the way the current administration chooses to run it. I’ll say it again. They don’t know what they are doing. People don’t want to do business with us anymore, in other words, people are going to stop coming to our restaurant if we don’t get it functioning as a modern, fresh and comfortable place to be.
They are telling you that by doing things right, what the Republicans think is right, that it will put hard working minorities “back in chains.” There is no skin color of the Republican Party. Anyone who says there is, is backwards. They want you to look backwards too. Doing it over and over and over again is intolerable. The hatemongering has got to stop! If you took us all and stuck us in a blender we’d be a very nice shade of brown. Our expertise, our experience, our love for our country and the great things about it has no class status. “Wise men profit more by fools, than fools by wise men; for wise men avoid the mistakes of fools, but fools do not imitate the good examples of wise men.” – CATO THE ELDER, c. 200 B.C. If you don’t want to work with rich people you’re missing out. If you don’t want to work with poor people, you’re missing out. Great educations come from working with both. That is why America has for centuries been so ahead of the curve. Our tolerance of each other, our abilities to make our differences work for us, make us smarter.
As people have actually tried to disrupt the harmony and our strides with civil rights, making us stop to question whether we should continue to keep working together, our country has become stagnate and numb. But here’s the trick. It’s only on the surface. The real truth about this whole campaign thing is that under all this media coverage of class warfare and anger, we are real people. We are a real country. We don’t hate each other. We’re angry because we feel we can’t make a difference in our financial status or communities. Opportunity has literally been snatched from our grasp. Because of fear, doors- as in opportunity, as well as the real doors to our homes and businesses… like our favorite restaurants are literally closing every day.
Speaking of closing doors. There is something I would really like to stop and that’s the bold face lies being told by those working for the Democratic Party to confuse you about the Republican policy. Republicans don’t hate gay people and we don’t have an ongoing war against women. We will not make it our focus to repeal gay marriage. Nor will we make it our focus to repeal Roe v. Wade. Furthermore, in case you were curious, none of our policies make the environment more polluted or the globe warmer either.
If that’s what you are afraid of, then you aren’t living in the real world. That’s where the Republicans and I live. I’m going to be real honest with you right now. So listen up. Our focus is saving the economy right now. Without an economy, we can’t do jack. That’s just the way it is. All the smart cars and healthcare in the world won’t save us if our economy collapses. This is what Republicans stand for right now. We will fix this problem carefully and methodically. To do this, despite popular belief, Republicans will not throw Granny off a cliff. I don’t even know how those actors got that wheelchair with granny up there. No, seriously. In fact, we only plan to cut spending on Medicaid by 3% compared to what Obama wants to spend. That’s hardly reducing grandma to eating cat food. In fact, once we get rid of Obamacare we can put the 716 billion Obama’s plan steals from seniors back in the Medicare pot. Another fact is that if we continue with Obama’s healthcare plan, Medicare for seniors will be completely insolvent in 12 years.
The model we are looking at for offering everyone a healthcare choice is doing better in use than we ever anticipated. It has cost 43% less than what we thought it would cost to implement and young people get to choose whether they want Medicare run by the government or get the equivalent of that cost to use towards a private insurance of their choice. This will drive the cost down with the good old’ American way. Competition. Competition means choice for everyone. Competition, in case you were wondering, isn’t the same as fighting each other.
If we can hold onto our thoughtless blurts of disgust and spontaneous angry reactions to the little stuff for just a while, we find we aren’t that upset after all. When we don’t waste the time responding to every word each other say with anger, we listen to the other guy a little more and understand where they are coming from a little bit better. Americans don’t ask each other whether we are rich or poor when we are fighting for our country. It’s not our style. We may not agree, but a compromise can surely be explored a lot easier on that safer frontier.
We built this country together. It seems like we haven’t built anything in a long time. That’s what it feels like. I know we can build a great future together. Would you rather let the government say they’ll come up with something to help you out and you don’t need to worry about what it is or what it costs? Or would you rather be involved by learning from and working with your countrymen to build something you believe in? I know, in fact I will guarantee you, as a successful business man who honestly cares about each and every one of you, if we all work harder, if we all work harder on working together we’ll all be a lot richer.
Stand with me. Support me and the other Republicans in your state. Don’t let them close more doors on opportunity. Let’s make more doors of opportunity! Thank you and God Bless America.
Okay, so I’m not as good as Mitt would be. I’m just sayin’.
There may be something wrong with having a tendency to see life through certain cartoons, but yah, here I go again. Like many Americans out there concerned with how the next election will turn out, I want to know how exactly the opposition to the Democratic Party will go about their plan of battle. I don’t know about you but I have battle plans constantly rolling around in my head, because well, I’m more than concerned. I’m borderline frantic. I’m on edge. I’m wondering if Mitt Romney and the campaign leaders will actually have the bollocks to take the gloves off and put forth the effort to beat the Democratic Party at its own game. So far, I think they are behind on getting this show on the road, but I can be patient… Okay, no I can’t. Might I relay some of my thoughts on the subject?
Is there anyone on the opposition of the Dems that can think like a liberal? I’m not saying is there a person that thinks this way all the time, just part-time, like on an “on-call” basis? This is very important, because there are certain liberal weaknesses we all enjoy and could be used like a bridge, a corpus callosum if you will, to the casm that spans our right brains and left brains. Weaknesses like our love for movies and cartoons. It’s a welcomed weakness, but a weakness none the less because we tend to let our guard down when we are being entertained.
I heard two different references to the movie industry by conservative analysts in relation to how this campaign should be run. I think they are on the right track. Janine Turner made a comment about how actors in a great movie are super talented and feel bonded like one cohesive team. Dennis Miller referred to how Chris Christie running with Romney would be like Kevin Costner and Sean Connery in The Untouchables. Unstoppable. Bulletproof. That just shows how we are as conservatives seeking and longing for a hero. That’s thinking liberally in a good way. We know realistically that real heroes don’t run for the office of President and Vice President because they’re not stupid enough to walk into that burning building, but we are definitely wishing on a star aren’t we? I think we should prove to the other side that we haven’t lost that sense of wonder. Let’s show them we have a sense of adventure by showing what kind of change America can have when individuals like them imagine what can be built with a little hard work and cooperation. Why not think the whole campaign strategy could be a metaphorical representation of our ideal America and get the attention of a lot more of the folks who tend to think that way. Let me give you an example.
Cartoons are an art form and art was created to speak messages to us without having to actually be interested in the message. Even liberals turn on their right brains for anything that is portrayed as a display of “art”. I think this is why art can be so powerful.
Cartoons have this wonderful way of keeping our attention to the very end because we are being entertained instead of being brow beat by live people who want to get their point across. Even when they are completely demented, the good ones with a moral lesson intertwined, seem to be the most successful cartoons. Why? Because we want to be better people, we just don’t want to be told to be. In my spare time, I like to write children’s books and the best ones are those that teach a lesson without seeming like they are teaching anything. SpongeBob is a perfect example of how good moral behavior can be disguised behind strange behavior and be hugely popular. Now if you’ve never watched SpongeBob, you have no idea what I’m talking about. And if you’ve never watched SpongeBob you definitely have never watched a fairly new cartoon out there called Adventure Time.
Talk about art, Adventure Time’s artistic staff is absolutely stunningly talented. The colors and creativity that goes into each episode is entertainment alone. Then they add original musical pieces that are really quite clever and you have something any one with eyeballs would watch. That is my hope, because Adventure Time isn’t just a great cartoon it implies something very important about what kind of people we should all be, heroes in a world of uncertainty.
The problem with being a hero is that it’s complicated. That’s the main theme. To me that kind of sounds like a story about being American. Hey, this is art. I can interpret it how I want to. We are so powerful as a whole, but as individuals it seems we are losing our grasp of what we really need to do with our lives. Fin and Jake the dog (not his dog) are the heroes of our story who always want to be good and win battles for that which is good. Fin is a thirteen year old young man who metaphorically represents our youthful vision of America and the world. Jake, Fin’s best friend and a super stretchy shape-shifting dog represents the ever-expanding opportunity and freedom available in America that is to be taken advantage of in order to win. Princess Bubblegum, who is this super-genius sweetheart, represents the establishment, what is all-good and worth fighting for. It’s funny because she tends to create bad things by accident (like our government) and needs Fin’s help to get rid of them. One episode she created zombies and had to get Fin to keep it quiet while she worked on a cure or the candy kingdom would destroy itself in panic Essentially he had to make up and partake in what can only be described as a government cover-up while at the same time he righteously fought zombies to keep the unappreciative candy people safe. Tell me you don’t see a common theme here.
If you really observe closely you’ll see several poignant pieces with very American themes. A hero doesn’t mean always killing the foe, but sometimes it does. Sometimes you don’t recognize the foe because they are dressed in poor sad case clothing and pull at your heartstrings. Many times, it says you don’t know who your foe is until the very end no matter what you do. Sometimes there’s a possibility to solve problems with tools and technology and sometimes it takes brute strength to win. Sometimes you have to hold weak people up and sometimes you just have to teach them to turn their weaknesses into strength. Some problems are not your problem and you should stay out of it, but if it’s a situation where evil is present, it’s always your problem. Sometimes there are blood sucking dead girls that sneak into your house, but they’re not necessarily evil. Okay, I don’t know what that last one has to do with America, but my point is, this cartoon has some very conservative themes in it that are a joy to absorb. Just don’t tell any liberals you watch Adventure Time. Just like kids if they find out you like it they won’t watch it anymore.I’m just sayin’.
Once something is labeled as something with a moral backbone, you have to fight harder to make people pay attention. Everyone expects too much of individuals with moral messages all the while not even listening. Like Fin, a hero doesn’t always know what to say. Good people aren’t 100% good, but it doesn’t make us hypocrites either. Good people are sometimes violent and loud, because that’s what it takes. Good people plan because they don’t always know how to fix things on the fly. When people call you slow or lazy or unprepared in the meantime, do not quit. Never give up. Never surrender. Never be ashamed of being a methodical planner. Remember that Republicans! It’s such an adventure to be good.
With the new developments and precedents being set by the powers that be in America recently, I’m positive it is time to start hunkering down and becoming more aware of our hero work. A big part of that is making sure we have an America that can actually produce and house heroes. If we let America crash and worse yet go more towards and entitlement society, where we have to depend on the government for our scraps, individuals will become powerless and it will be too late. We are literally going to have to take advantage of all our tools, technology and tenacity to fight against the evil succubus that is in power today. I don’t know if that includes time to watch cartoons, but in light of what I’ve said about it, maybe you can relax a little knowing liberals and those who do not care about politics are probably sitting and watching something that is good for them too.
President Obama’s campaign spent more than $30 million to run TV ads on the subject of Romney being bad for American business for nearly three months even though the allegation that Mr. Romney “shipped jobs to China and Mexico” was called “misleading, unfair and untrue” by the Washington Post fact checker and labeled “bunk” in an editorial. The Annenberg Center’s FactCheck.org said it found no evidence to support the claim that Romney shipped American jobs overseas, but still the commercials and “legal slander” continue.
I would imagine that over the next few months they are going to try and go all out to widen the gulf between those who know how to make/save money and those who do not. They are going to try to paint a picture of business people and rich business people in particular as those who use sneaky tactics to make money. They will portray hard work as something only noble poor people do. They will make poor people feel even more hopeless about their attempts at hard work and saving by telling them that both the rich and the government are miraculous staples in this country that can never be matched or achieved or changed by the common man. They will tell us the only difference between the two is that rich people want to remain rich so they do anything, use any and all hidden resources to keep it that way and that in contrast the government uses its “magic” to help the people. They will tell us the only way to change things is to give the government more of our support not the “mysterious” rich business people.
So how do we counter this Cro-Magnon campaign? We can’t stay on the level and just keep up with the status quo. So far, Obama and the Dems are the status and we the Republicans, we’re the quo. Let’s say no to the quo. I say we need to go over the top imaginative. While they use their cash trying to lie and do those things I mentioned above, the Republicans, Independents, Tea Partiers and Dems who give a damn need to spend their money on wowing the hell out of us with a vision of a great future. Show it to us. I don’t care if you have to hire Steven Spielberg himself. We need to out liberal mind the liberals. The only thing liberals like more than dwelling in their own sorrow is being distracted from the pain with something spectacularly inspiring.
Show us how private people and rich businessmen with big imaginations turn the world around. Bring as many of these men and women to the table and relay their potential to as many Americans as possible. Show the world that we will not rely on the government to make the leading strides in technology. Show us how innovators like Burt Rutan and Richard Branson are going to go all “X Prize” on our ass. Show us how we will therefore breathe new life back into innovation, breeding business, more engineers and therefore more wealth. All those bridges and wonderful things we have were built by engineers not the government, President Obama. No, I didn’t build it, but some regular hard-working Americans did. The government may have given its permission to build the bridge, but they didn’t build it or even plan it probably. But you know what? That’s all it can do. Obama doesn’t want anyone to think about the fact that all the government can really do is give you permission to do something or not do something. Do you really want them to do this in all aspects of your life? You don’t even let your mom do that. Do you?
Back to the point. I think if we take the over the top, high energy, high special effect, historical fiction, science fiction-type approach we could really get more of the liberal types to open up their minds a little bit to our cause. That shouldn’t be as hard a trick as what Obama and the Dems have to do. They have to try to convince us that the government can do all that inventing and a bag chips too. Well, they have NASA, I guess. Oh, wait, no. They’re in the process of dismantling that. Hmm. I don’t know how they’re going to show us anything positive in motion for the future. The auto industry is doing just fine on its own, without any help from the government and has been for some time now. So I guess the car companies have already burst the government’s bubble on taking credit for that one too.
What it comes down to is this. Fight negative pseudos with positive pseudos. You can’t fight all Obama’s lies with the cold hard truth necessarily. We saw this when Romney had his “Night at the Apollo” as I like to call it. Even though the NAACP was slightly receptive to Romney’s speech in which he refused to pander it wasn’t exactly something that inspired anyone in the audience to vote for him. What I refuse to do in contrast to many of the commentators I saw who spoke about the speech Romney gave at the NAACP, is imply that the audience members were racist and would not vote for Romney because he doesn’t want to speak “their language”. That’s ridiculous. I think they will if he can inspire them. Remember, many African-Americans who were supporters of Obama are feeling in general, pretty darn used by the Obama campaign.
I think instead of using people or a particular group of people, we need to actually give them something they can use as a constituency to better their cause. If you give them something they need, their support will come. Come to think of it there are a lot of groups that have been used by the Obama campaign. They know they’re being used, they just expected something in return. “Dollar make me holler, honey boo boo.” Sorry, I had to. Find out what they need and use our imagination to actually give something to that effect to them. Anything is better than empty promises. Anything.
Republicans don’t need a miracle. We just need to appeal to liberals’ better, let’s say more idealistic and prosperous nature. Let’s embrace our liberals with tattoos and show them how to be true rebels. Help them surprise the living hell out of employers by showing them how to get skills and education that overshadow how they look. Let’s be realistic. Employers are going to have to get used to working with tattoos just like they had to get used to working with women. We can be extremely distracting, but none the less can be invaluable assets to any team if we can bring the skills. Conservative leaders, surprise the hell out of liberals and other conservatives alike by supporting and appreciating the harmless if not good things about being liberal. In fact I think it would behoove the Mitt Romney campaign to recruit as many tattooed conservatives as they could find and publicize the hell out of them. They do exist! It won’t be an easy task but I think it’s worth it. Tattooed people talk to other tattooed people. That’s just a fact. Now you might say, well why don’t we just get old Mitt up there in the tattoo shop? Why don’t we all get holey faces and ink up our skin? Well, that would just be too contrived wouldn’t it and we don’t want to do that. I’m not getting a tattoo. I think I get more attention without them. Then again, I won’t be as effective at a biker rally as Spike with his Sarah Palin tattoo, will I? Isn’t politics exciting? Isn’t the whole thing a big dirty contrived mess? Absolutely, so we might as well make it worth our while and win the damn thing. Like I said, it’s adventure time!
Does anyone know what’s going on here? Do you know how many Republicans have decided that they are too tired to watch any of the Republican debates or any kind of news about the campaign anymore? Try like everyone. All I know is I’m more than turned off and it’s not because of the ugliness like sweet Mrs. Bush Sr. says. I don’t think it’s all that bad considering baggage does need to be aired. You don’t want bed bugs creeping into your house later. You know what I’m saying? I think she just said that because that’s what old ladies say when they can’t say “this is a fuck”. Pardon my French. I think she feels like many of us do, that we may have the wrong candidates in the lead and we’re not quite sure what to do about it.
But the great thing is, it’s not totally over! Now that the “ugliness” is relatively passed us, we should re-look at our candidates, don’t you think? This kind of illusion that it’s down to two candidates Romney and Santorum is merely that, an illusion. For one, I don’t want us to think this race is over because we’re clearly not happy with who we are going towards choosing as the Republican candidate. It’s pretty obvious that that is the main reason why Republicans are sick of watching. We’ve got to that point again where we have gone through the traditional motions, gotten towards the end of that process and realized we’ve got a product we don’t want. The Republican Party can’t admit they’re going the wrong direction when they’re trying to win the election despite who the front running candidate is. The Republican win is the main goal. I know this.
But maybe the main goal of choosing the right Republican candidate should be getting the right candidate for what happens after the election in 2012. I think the candidates were correct in the beginning when they all said if you elect any of us it would be better than letting President Obama continue to be the president for four more years. I still agree with that. What I think is happening now is kind of like… Well, have you ever been baking something new and you follow the recipe, you followed everything that the recipe said exactly. You get to the end of it and it’s nothing like you thought it would be. It doesn’t taste good, it’s falling apart and you’ve got a party to serve. How embarrassing.
We’ve faithfully depended on our process of choosing a candidate and here we are getting towards the end and oh no… we can tell it’s starting to look funny. Frankly, I think Romney scares the hell out of most of us. And Santorum is just so …Magoo. I don’t know what else to say. We have gotten ourselves into a process that when you come right down to it is not a good recipe. The recipe is very much a beauty contest or a popularity contest and it likens itself to a lot like a High School Class President election. But wait a minute, we don’t really just want to elect someone we think is the most popular or who we see is going to be a winner do we? This can’t be about seeing ourselves standing next to what looks like a guaranteed winner. That’s Pseudos.
The real candidate for an American President is someone who still carries that old-school-American, Reaganistic spirit we love and miss. We need someone who can be calmly strong and who can be smart in high pressure situations. You know what? I think this man we’re looking for is a nerd, and an arrogant one at that. The one none of us liked in High School and in fact the exact opposite of who we would vote for class president. But see, we’re all grown up now and we can appreciate the need for someone who is completely confident in his intelligence and bold with his ideas of fixing this joint. If you’ve ever had to deal with an engineer you know this simple rule: don’t ask an engineer to fix something if you can’t deal with the correct way to fix something. We really need to set our pride aside and start paying attention to the person we would go to for real answers; especially if we needed them in a pinch.
It’s funny, but when people believe their time is short, they put all stereotypes and prejudices aside to get to what is important. When we’re failing math and we’re about to be kicked off the team, who do we go to for study help? Who’s the one we have to go to when we were too lazy to do the homework? Who always has the vocabulary list for the quiz? The nerd.
Of course I’m talking about Newt Gingrich. If you don’t think Newt’s a nerd, more power to you, but please note that this means you too are a nerd. J Newt is the guy that has worked his butt off all his life and has been getting the straight A’s. He has been paying attention, he’s been taking the notes, he’s been taking the crap too and still, we’re not willing to give the nerd some credit? Hey, this is America. We’re not like that. Our country of America is the country that holds up the nerd with pride. Revenge of The Nerds is one of our classic movies for a reason. There are those who still hold Booger up there as one of their all-time favorite, All-American heroes just based on his burping talent, among other things. You know who you are. Let’s do this! Let’s raise up the appreciation of nerd abilities this day because what we need now is someone who knows how to do some basic accounting, some basic economics, some basic history and maybe some basic science would be good too. The thing about nerds is they revel in a challenge, in the unexpected. They are successful because they have the mindset to completely surprise people with something spectacular when the people whole-heartedly expected the opposite.
Hold the phone. Wait a minute here. Newt is no Booger. He’s actually got some pretty cool skills that make him a super nerd. Like Clark Kent! He’s a diplomat. Not many nerds are diplomats. He’s got a great sense of humor. Not many nerds have senses of humor. He’s got a hot wife. Not many nerds have that. Needless to say, he’s got good qualities people and I think we need to start thinking about this seriously in these last few races. This is no time to bail out on the process. They can matter. We need to make this cake work and can if we can get around to doing something about what we really want for the future. Not just about what we think is good for the popular election, I should say. You should be very worried when the main stream media starts endorsing a certain Republican and it also just so happens to be the same way we’re going in our process of elimination. To search for who will be the most popular or electable is just following into the Democratic Party’s ways of life. That does not get us anywhere.
We’ve got two Republican candidates that all day debate about who is the most conservative. Meanwhile, we’re thinking uh, Romney and Santorum are both too damn conservative. Preaching to the choir is an understatement. They continue to show us they believe that we will not elect someone who may be a little bit of an underdog. Actually, this is a quality in candidates Americans tend to empathize with more. President Obama is a direct result of that. Apparently Republican campaign advisors think the Republican Party is all about being conservative and I think they’ve missed the mark completely. The majority of swing votes are going to come from the middle to left of the Republican and Independent voters. I’d be sad to think this concentration on conservativism was not just a fight against President’s liberal policies but also someone’s single-handed wet dream of eliminating the purpose of the Tea Party all together with this election as well. That could be a very costly mistake.
Albeit I think if we happen to elect someone who is super conservative I don’t believe they can ever get us to the point where all mainstream views are threatened. Because we are way the hell over to left and getting kind of out-of-control, it would probably just swing us enough over to the right to make us more in the middle.
Newt by all means is what I would consider your average conservative. I don’t see how his baggage is much different than many Republicans I know. We all have a history full of mistakes. (That’s how we get to be so wise.) And since we’ve gotten over Newt Gingrich’s history of his many divorces, his obvious stray from conservatism, I think we’re definitely steering in clearer waters. Seriously, is that’s all you got? A man who has lived in Washington DC for as long as he lived and that’s all you got? He’s a freakin’ angel.
Newt Gingrich reminds me of America. He is smart. He is observant and is maybe not necessarily who you want to like. Kind of like the nerd you want to just stick in a locker sometimes because he so arrogant about what he knows in that big ol’ Q-tip head of his. He kind of goes off on these tangents where we can’t follow. So we think, is he trying to make us feel stupid? That’s essentially why we don’t like nerds, but in this case we really need that. We need someone who’s ability to think out-of-the-box surpasses the average individual. I have not seen that from Romney. I’ve not seen not that from Santorum. Even as the leader, Romney tends to do what he knows is popular and what you know he needs to do to get the job done systematically. I don’t see him doing anything that inspires me or inspires our country.
I don’t see Santorum inspiring our country to the point where we are all on the same page. I think he already has gotten himself into the conundrum of causing division just by simply falling into some of these traps that the left wing media has laid for him. Newt is the one person who has shined on both of those points in that he has not repelled/excluded anyone with his personal beliefs and he’s caused people to be inspired. You’ve seen that with the two standing ovations. (Now I think he’s trying not to get them for the thought that they may start to look contrived.) And he has also been the only one to be able to show some kind of balls when it comes to standing up to the media. Those three things alone say this is our dude. We need someone who’s going to help us step out of this left wing media charged box of self-imprisonment. Let’s not govern ourselves by the Middle East’s, the European, the East’s, the west coast’s or the east coast’s opinions and prejudices of us. We can no longer afford to do that.
The real candidate for an American President is someone who still carries that old-school Reaganistic spirit we love and miss; someone who can be strong and who can be smart in pressure situations. You know what? I think this man we’re looking for is a nerd, and an arrogant one at that. We need someone who is completely confident in his intelligence and bold with his ideas of fixing this joint.
And the only man who is shown any kind of inkling of an ability to do that is Newt Gingrich and we have little time to show him and the country that he is our man. So if you’re out there and you’re able to vote or you’re able to do something about this please root for Newt!
I think a Newt Gingrich/Perry or a Gingrich/Palin ticket would be strong… to very strong. In a way, a Gingrich/Palin ticket would maybe remind Americans they had a second chance to erase the mistake they made last time. I’m just sayin’. Some said that Palin was the reason why McCain lost the election in ‘08, but we all know that wasn’t it. The left-wing media just said that to try and take down a female conservative and the McCain campaign needed a convenient scapegoat for failure. The overall reason McCain lost the election for Republicans was the overwhelming weakness the people began to see in him.
Unfortunate as it was, at the same time Palin was announced his running mate, McCain suddenly became very vulnerable looking on conservative issues as well as appearing weak in his physical health. Both attributed to his appearance of being the weaker candidate when compared with Obama. I think again the Republican campaign advisers missed the mark on what our idea of what we as Americans (not as individuals) identify with.
McCain campaigned as the hero that he is. Unfortunately, not all American heroes are built alike when it comes to what the American people see as heroes they would want as the President. Americans are actually more taken with the ordinary American hero more so than the P.O.W. super-sacrificial soldier hero of lore. Of course we hold our military, our soldiers to the highest degree of honor and standards for that matter, but then again we don’t hold ourselves to that standard. I think we all tend to want to have a President that is a hero but also somebody we can still identify with. He or she needs to have the appearance of having walked in our shoes for a bit. Romney does not fit this shoe, and Santorum seems to be wearing elf shoes. It may not be the truth, but what the people are seeing in this case does matter.
This generation of Republicans identify with the real beneficial “change” that took place in the late 80’s and also with Americans that remind them of a more Reaganesque time. I think Gingrich has got that hands down and that Sarah Palin adds no weakness or loftiness to the image whatsoever. Americans are leaders not followers. Some of our leaders just happen to be nerds. Go Newt! Go!
For the sake of all Americans crossed by this border security issue, I’m going to lend you Texas’ theme song for the moment. Especially you Arizona as I believe you need it at this moment in history more than ever. Along with Texans singing “Texas Our Texas” they should proclaim with great pride Arizona…OUR Arizona.
“We didn’t cross the border. The border crossed us.” Humph.
I’m sorry. I just threw up in my mind a little bit. As a native Texan, this more than chaps my hide, it makes me want to hogtie anyone who says it. Okay, I don’t really know how to do that, but if I did, boy…
Anyway. Of course it did, idiots…because you lost the war. Only when Texas was about to become permanent property of the United States of America did Mexico say they would concede to the loss and recognize The Republic of Texas in all its glory. Only when they knew the United States could make the border whatever they damn well pleased if a deal was reached did they ever concede to the truth about Texas’ victory and where the line was originally drawn. Now Mexican and liberal Americans alike are learning a history steeped in sore loserdom which all began about a decade prior to the second Texas Revolution. It began with a few’s desire for money and power not a clash of cultures and racism, as you‘d assume, thanks to the liberal left media.
To be kind of specific, when roughly three powerful Americans, sent out on United States business began exploring Texas, they each fell in love with her. They independently discovered that Texas was vast and full of uncovered riches. They also came to realize that the native Mexicans, Texians and Texas colonists of the time virtually ran themselves. At this point, Spanish Mexico was like an estranged step-mother of sorts, mostly concerned with which plastic surgery to undergo next. (You know, always critical of what you do, but not really involved in the whole raising you thing.) The people who actually “governed” Texas were the same as they had always been; a group of quiet Spanish royals who originally planned out the civil matters of Texas; civil law, roads and city planning, how acreage was levied, etc. They lived a peaceful life working with the natives (not enslaving them by the way) building up San Antonio and living a very rich life to say the least.
The Army General, a sleezeball named Edwards (purely coincidence I’m sure) and a minister from the United States Government saw that if these royals were so laid back, not willing to harm even a savage native, they were weak and insignificant. They could easily be gotten rid of. They also noticed something in particular about the youth of these royals. They seemed to be bored with all the wealth and no “real power.” Sound familiar?
Maybe their interest in large territories of Texas was purely to drum up votes for John Q. Adams’ presidency but let’s be real. These American’s lived and died by the term manifest destiny. It is no secret that these men had visions of being all-powerful leaders in a place that oozed power and also seemed to be just sitting there waiting for the taking.
American conquests were old news. They began their campaign of pseudos in Texas by talking up an “Independent Texas.” They told the young rebel royals and Texians that independence in Texas was all but theirs for the taking. They just had to declare it and take it. When these men were caught literally by surprise by Spanish-Mexican officials and questioned about their “speculating” they pointed their fingers at the rebel royals and said that they had started the whole thing. The men all claimed they had nothing to do with inciting a war they would most heavily gain from. Unfortunate for them, Spain didn’t buy it or didn’t care; one of the two, your pick. Let’s just say they died in a bad way and it involved a donkey.
Those royal rebels specifically, who risked their lives did so not because some Americans got them all riled up and racist. These people wanted to fight because they knew they were being taken for granted by a changing Spainish/Mexican government. Mexico was trying to win independence from Spain and reorganize the individual powers of the Church, military and judiciary system under a more “centralized” government. Sound familiar? The Spanish royals had built Texas so far, did a damn good job of it and were so powerful in their own right it only seemed natural. This is the first time that the Texas independence voice was allowed to be heard. 10 years later that same voice would cry “Remember the Alamo”. The royal elders had warned them that the passionate voice inside them that wanted independence for Texas had a time and a place, but they were impatient and did not listen. The first civilians of Texas were therefore systematically hunted down and assassinated by centralists in the Spanish/Mexican government. Every last man, woman and child they could find, to be exact. The Mexican government traditionally takes pride in the way they deal with “traitors”. They’re freakin’ artists at it actually.
Racism is a tool usually used by a majority to suppress a minority and not just a natural born instinct of white people as you may think. During Texas’ second attempt at independence, (the one that actually worked out) the minority were those of mostly Anglo heritage and the racism erupted from the majority; those with mostly Mexican heritage. When the settlers began to hear “the voice” they sent the man they knew the Mexican government had trusted thus far to speak on their behalf, Stephen F. Austin. The once absentee government of Texas was now run by the soon-to-be Dictator of Mexico, Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. They were confident he would hear their discressions fairly because of their loyalty and cooperation thus far and that they would be granted the right to utilize their already working civil government. Once again they were surprised by Mexico’s reaction.
The “President” of Mexico was a president like Hugo Chavez is the “President” of his Venezuela. Now in 1834 Santa Anna had big plans for his new Republic of Mexico. He counted on the Texas being held safe, American-free and built up strong by the nice, quiet, Anglo settlers, loyal to Mexico and virtually hand-picked by the Spanish Crown and Mexican Government up to this point. They never heard a peep from the Germans or Irish, but here come those Americans from Tennessee talking LOUDLY about having their own type of freedom. Personally, I think it was the Anglo lawyers who snuck in illegally not the Anglo miners, smugglers, trappers, jack-of all traders that really pissed the Mexican government off. In response to this unwanted contamination of mass proportions, Mexico tried to curtail this illegal immigration of American Anglos with legislation but it just wouldn’t stop them from coming to start afresh. Ironic isn’t it.
Having been so busy reorganizing the military, judicial system and the Church, Santa Anna did not realize how quickly so many unappealing American Anglos could spoil Mexico’s plan for constructing a well-built, well-greased white-Euro Texas. He now had a perfect opportunity or more truthfully an excuse, to quickly stamp out any thought of rebellion and to do it with style. Remember the donkey? Anyhoo…
The Texans who rebelled this time were literally risking it all when they decided to declare independence from Mexico and they knew it. Maybe they were on crack. Maybe they were a little like the scrappy short kid that picks a fight with the big brut even though everyone knows that it’s a really bad idea. Maybe they did get lucky, or blessed, or both- but the fact of the matter and the whole truth of the story is and was decided on that day, when a tyrant, hell bent on shoving the idea of American culture and her ideals of freedom down those who hold it dear’s throat, took the lives of over 200 men at the Alamo for pleasure and most definitely for sport. They heard the voice that shouted this cannot be tolerated by you if you are a decent human being, no matter how small your army is! This is what drove the Texans to win independence from Mexico and is what Sam Houston remembered as he went into battle at San Jacinto and what he warned against when we were barreling towards a civil war. He remembered with every breath he took until his death as shall all of us who give a damn about what is right for America. We have to account for the cost whether its men or money.
After the war, those loyal to Mexico moved back to Mexico, and those loyal to Texas stayed beyond the natural southern boundary of the Rio Grande River. The cultures remained entwined as peacefully as it was antebellum. However, a separating and dangerous pride was born by sentiments of the Mexican Centralist government and allowed to be passed on to following generations and so continues to deceive and mislead Mexicans loyal to the ever corrupt Mexican government.
If you look at a modern map of ethnicity in Texas you will see that the border counties are populated by those living in Texas with a lot of Spanish/Mexican heritage. If you look at an old map of ethnicity in Texas you will see that the heritage is still densely of Mexican-Texan or Texian decent. Even going way back to the early 1800‘s. So it makes absolutely no sense that what the liberal left is selling as their reason for an open border is that a border is unfair. That somehow the people with Mexican ancestry on the US side of the border suddenly become racist against the people of the same decent on the other side of the border and so therefore moved the border too far westward just to be dicks. Huh? That’s pseudos. There is nothing between the Rio Grande and the imaginary “real border” that makes Mexico any better of a place. Trust me!
Santa Anna, the devil reincarnate, was a dictator and a war criminal who should have been hung instead of returned to Mexico. But, sticking to their word and ruling their actions by what they had learned from living under civilized American law, the Texan leaders let the murderous dictator go. He continued to come up with ways to strain Texas and the United States’ relations. Because he was a dictator and had control of all arms of the government he had no reason to acknowledge or validate the treaties he had willfully signed. Santa Anna’s position was that he had signed the documents under coercion as a prisoner, not as a surrendering general in accordance with the laws of war. There, instead of facing the truth, he began an heir of pseudos that is alive and well today throughout Mexico and those who are ignorant in America. So, you can just deny being General and war criminal at any time? I did not know that. How convenient.
In a nutshell: There once was a man who denied having ever signed any legal treaties or having ever committed the atrocities against Texans. The Mexican government as a whole and liberal congress in America concurred against all conservative reason and human dignity. Sound familiar? Santa Anna murdered good, high-spirited, God fearing men at the Alamo to prove a point. He laughed in the face of American determinism and Texians loyal to Mexico. And the icing on the cake is that the liberal Americans in Congress have for years, sided with the pseudos of Mexico for their own political reasons. Sound even more familiar?
Believing Mexicans have any legal, moral or hypothetical right to any portion of the United States is not only disrespectful to the men who died to win Texas’ Independence from Mexico, but it is also a slap in the face to those who hold American determinism to be one of the greatest and more permanent assets of a free country.
These Americans that are demanding stricter border laws are not racists as they themselves are in fact some part Hispanic and are proud of it. Telling the Mexican loyalists that they are being hated on is exactly what they are conditioned to hear. It’s not the truth and those spouting this are the only ones benefiting from it. Obviously that isn’t the mostly white land owners in Texas, California and Arizona. The map shows the truth. It shows that yes, the border was drawn through populations of almost solid Texian and because of the conditions that were legally and verbally agreed upon by the Republic of Texas the wannabe Napoleon of the time, it is what it is. This is the basic history that is accepted by educated people the world over.
Now ask those of Spanish-American, Mexican-American, Texan or Texian heritage if they think we need more border control. Let’s ask Robert Vasquez for example. He’s the Republican county Commissioner up in Canyon County Idaho. That’s right, Idaho and although the invasion he is experiencing is in Idaho and not actually on the dangerous border, the argument from his perspective is just as important. Because one in five residents in Canyon County is already of Mexican origin, he believes we, as a country are in for an “imminent invasion,” that will cost us money, cost us our safety, our health and our general wellbeing. Committed like you read about, he has been shall we say “balls to the walls” fighting the liberal left agenda and some of the Republican’s big business’ alike who want to let as many illegals in as possible. Vasquez says it is a fight that is partyless and completely necessary. “Some people say I’m a racist, that I’m a traitor to my heritage,” he said. “There is nothing racial about this. The only color involved is green – for money. Wow. It’s like déjà vu, isn’t it?
Racism is not the reason the people of Arizona and Texas want better border protection and control. It’s because those fuckers keep shooting us and you guys up there aren’t doing anything about it! (That’s a line from The Negotiator. I think it describes the problem quite nicely.) Racism is a pseudos argument produced mostly by the left, aimed at devaluing the rights of mainly Anglo Americans in these border areas in order to gain the future votes of the majority Mexican-Hispanics who may or may not actually have the right to vote. We don’t know.
It’s also to make money off of the steady stream of cheap immigrant labor, but they don’t talk about that much. I wouldn’t either if I owned a fast food chain or many. The whole situation is a mess, really. A steady stream is important due to the types of jobs that they are being beckoned for. For example, one of the major employers of immigrant labor is the meat packing plants. The plants are bigger, running faster and more automated than ever. This means everything must work like clockwork for the plant to remain efficient. Any time there is a breakdown of the line due to an injury, such as loss of a limb or a body part gets stuck somewhere it costs the plant a lot of money. Laborers who tend to not complain about a less than humane standard of work environment, a.k.a. illegal Mexican immigrants, are a necessity at that point. And if they are highly unlikely to sue in case of injury because of questionable legal status which they are, well, that works out just perfectly too.
You know, uneducated, illiterate, non-English speaking immigrants are fine. It’s just when they have no intention of being educated, literate or English-speaking that it becomes a problem. The liberal left only enables that problem by defending the big industry. It’s not un-American to say that we don’t need a steady stream of workers, even though the profit of the big automation becomes unattainable. It’s not anti-immigrant. It’s only Anti-immigrant and non-American when we’re talking about legitimate immigrants. Somewhere along the line, someone forgot paying an immigrant a simple fee per body part lost was un-American and anti-immigrant. Is it more American, or more “pro-immigrant” to be cheap rather than actually following humane business practices? What is this, China? It may be. Big business can afford to make sure congress, Republican or Democrat, not only vote immigration according to what is good for big business, but can also afford to get away with inhumane business practices when they convince you that we cannot survive economically if not voted their way. That’s pseudos. Now I don’t believe the liberal left is into packing meat, but it sure is convenient for the liberal left agenda don‘t you think?
One last thing, I almost forgot. Expect the pseudos on the border issue to increase as President Obama prepares to defend his throne. President Obama is a leftist; there is no doubt about it now. He’s left and he want’s those left votes ASAP. He is not middle left as he originally sold himself as and with this recent issue he is beginning to prove it. With his recent appointment of Dr. Donald Berwick to head the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, he has basically sealed the deal for many immigrants wanting to come here legally and illegally. There is no question many come here for medical care. Dr. Berwick says, with no qualms about it, that our wealth in America should be redistributed specifically through the Medicare system. He says that it is our duty.
Now it is clear that the Medicaid programs that are already bleeding our medical system will continue to hemorrhage as long as this liberal administration endures. Did you know that a child born in this country under 12.8 ounces qualifies for Medicaid regardless of their parents nationality or income level? The medical bill on a child born at this weight runs about $2 million dollars. Want to guess how many underweight babies are born to illegal immigrants in this country each year? Times that number by 2 million and that’s how much money you, the taxpayer has doled out this year. I’m all for helping innocent crack babies, but this is ludicrous. It is ludicrous to believe that most of this money is going to people who are fully aware of how to take advantage of our welfare programs and that we can continue to afford to let them. I personally know people who have an impeccable knowledge of the ins and outs of the welfare programs available to them. They know how to apply, what to say, what they can and cannot get away with saying on an application, but yet they do not possess the ability to read.
President Obama is racing down a dangerous road of pandering to illegal aliens, by spreading racist Pseudos about those who are trying to uphold the law and protect the citizens of this country and also now through offering free medical care so that he can mobilize a voting force of historic proportions.
The base of the Liberal secularist philosophy seems to depict the belief that nothing cataclysmic will ever happen. Please don’t confuse this with their hissy-fit over global warming. Global warming is not an eminent cataclysm that will end all life as we know it. It’s a marketing theme. These people thrive on bleeding heart stories and pessimism, but have the gall to call a conservative who speaks out passionately about America going to hell in a handbasket, over-reacting. They truly believe if something so bad and destructive were to happen, and if it couldn’t be taken care of on the spot with money, they submit to the “we are all f-ed anyway” philosophy. Well, that’s just a brilliant plan!
Do you know that there is a new term for people like me? Yes, I just heard it. There’s actually a new reality show coming out about people like me. Shows how quick on the uptake I am. I’m called a “Prepper.” Yes, that’s short for preparer. You know, as in someone who prepares for the America as we know it to collapse. We are a closet-bound bunch, for the most part. Because, A. The term “survivalist” has a lot of negative stereotypes attached to it these days and B. we don’t want your punk ass showing up at our farm looking for food because you were too stupid and too proud to PREPARE for yourself. Not lazy, just too proud. Well, if you know me, you know I’m not too proud to tell you you’re stupid. I’m used to taking that kind of humiliating action. So here it is.
Go ahead! Live for the moment and don’t worry about the consequences of the future. It’s not a stretch to think a lot of people live based on what they see in movies. I’m guilty of this in some ideological respects but I’m talking about the sheer imitation of people’s behavior in movies. Isn’t it funny how you never see anyone in the movies wearing a seatbelt? I hate to call a director irresponsible for such a minor detail in the scheme of making a whole movie and all. And maybe it’s just me but, I just want to say, don’t they know they are portraying the message over and over again that it is unnecessary to wear your seatbelt and that it also makes you look uncool. Of course they do, because that’s what they think. I think that would be an interesting poll question for Hollywood people. “Do you wear your seatbelt?” (Seriously, please wear a seatbelt even if the people in the movies don’t.) I kid you not, I still hear the argument that if you were to get in a bad accident, you wouldn’t be able to get out in a hurry. Like they’re Indiana Jones or something; headed for the Grand Canyon. Uh, on a road that takes two minutes to go fifty feet maybe that’s how physics rule in Hollywood. Come on. Squish your boobs in the name of safety! Let me let you in on a little secret of real physics. If you’re in a bad accident and not wearing your seatbelt, they’re going to have to hose your ass out of the car. This is a fitting metephore for what happens when Democrats in congress try and tweak the rules and pass something that should never have passed regardless of what precedent that sets for the future use of the Constitution’s flexibility. Either they don’t know or don’t care. Both are highly likely.
Don’t let anyone tell you you’re paranoid or crazy for being safe or prepared for bad things to happen. If there is anything you learn from this book, I hope it is this. Ever hear, “luck favors the prepared”? The message of today towards preppers like me is more like, “What are you? A survivalist or something? Good luck with that.” Whatever happened to the romanticism of a “little survival place in the woods”? Now if you call yourself a “survivalist” or just happen to own a gun, (a big one), you’re a gun toting’, right-wing, white-surpremist, domestic-terrorist, communalist, seclusionist, fundamentalist, f-your-sister red-neck, Bible beater. I once invited all my gal pals to take part in the ladies’ night special at the local indoor gun range. I immediately got a Facebook retort referring me to a guns and violence awareness website. Tisk-tisk on me for suggesting such a horridly violent pastime! Who knew surviving or competition was a bad thing? It’s not like I said it was Happy Hour and then shooting with .45 calliber weapons! Geez. They totally don’t let you do that.
The liberal secularist philosophy says that the modern mode of thought is the only intelligent thought there is. Let me tell you what they’re worried about surviving. They learned about the age of reason in History and I guess were tapped out after that. Is that when they started teaching about Henry Marx? Anyway what you may not have paid attention to because it takes a lot of boring patience to learn, is that there have been intelligent people for thousands of years. Not just recently with the invention of the “smart phone.” Contrary to popular belief, smart people don’t just occur with the advancement of technology. Still, liberal secularists think History and following the laws written by people three hundred years ago (much less a couple thousand years ago) no longer apply to the world of today. They think they know better than those old conservative fogies from so long ago. They believe conservativism is outdated and totally uncool. “A waste of time.” “Not living in reality.” Those are just a couple of things I hear most often by those living hour to hour. “I just got a tattoo for $10!” That’s another one I hear a lot.
I think of it kind of like how a teenager thinks. I can see how living day to day instead can be very exciting and free feeling, but it’s not freedom. You know that “falling feels like flying, even for a little while …” Crazy Heart. I can certainly respect that philosophy some days. I’m a wife and a mother and it’s hard having to make important decisions every single day, all day long. Whether or not I choose to pay attention to what my kids are up to at any given moment can mean life or death for my toddlers. There’s no pressure on earth that can beat that.
Having things taken care of for you like welfare and free healthcare is also not freedom. It’s a death sentence. The more you let someone take care of the needs that you are capable of doing yourself only leads you to become reliant upon and subservient to them. In this case, once the government starts feeding you and giving you free healthcare, treating you like the zoo animal you’ve become; is that when you are really going start working harder? Is that going to make it easier to speak out against your government and/or zookeepers? In both instances the answer historically has been a big fat NO! We work harder when the benefits are as great or greater than the work we put in. No one will work harder if no extra is given for doing so. And if the government were to control say, everything like healthcare, the financial sectors, the automobile industry, the media and education we wouldn’t have a single word to say, would we?
But here we are at the crossroads. We have to choose a Republican to lead us through the dark. An old addege about the blind leading the blind comes to mind, however, we can no longer let the Pseudos message rein that conservatives are just poking fun at powerful liberal people. This complaint from the average quiet American is more than just a yapping response to the insolent left. We are hanging by a thread. This is about handing the decision about our entire ability to control ourselves. Are you ready to say you are the old lady who has fallen and can’t get up? Are you ready for the liberal Democrats to hand you your new nolife alert button to wear around your neck? Don’t worry, it will be intimately involved with all you do, go where ever you go and it’s waterproof! It sounds and looks like the most popular thing to do.
No! Wake up, Matilda! Obama wants to put you in a retirement home no matter how spry you think you are! Cut medicare? Why do that when their just going to make the whole damn thing medicare! Give everybody the prune plan! So, your only 25; don’t you want to live in an old folks home and have them feed you and tell you when to eat your meds? Why would we voluntarily do this? Has half the country already lost their minds? Well…
